For some attorneys, it is unthinkable. But Anne Bader-Martin, who regularly argues juvenile court cases in Newton District Court, didn't hesitate when it came to offering her client a ride to Framingham last week.
Bader-Martin's client was a 41-year-old Waltham man seeking custody of his 12-year-old daughter, who lived in a foster home. His case was transferred as part of a statewide push to establish separate juvenile courts, and to get to the more distant courthouse, the man would have had to take two buses and a commuter train and then walk almost two miles.
