BELGRADE -- More evidence of mass killings emerged yesterday in Kosovo, and Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic won conditional support from a key opposition group, furthering his campaign to retain power and avoid prosecution for war crimes.
The commander of US peacekeepers in Kosovo, meanwhile, warned that his soldiers face a continuing threat from Serb paramilitaries who remain in the province in violation of a peace agreement that required all Yugoslav forces be gone by now.
