Bio: Noah Bierman joined the Boston Globe in September 2007 and has been covering transportation.  Previously, Bierman was the higher education reporter for the Miami Herald. He also covered courtroom news and crime. Bierman also covered politics and local government, concentrating on the mayor's office in Miami-Dade County, Fla. He wrote and contributed to numerous reports on the legal battle, vigil and death of Terri Schiavo in 2005.
